Upon attaining your comercioal rotorcraft if you are only an airplane you get further training in police operations. Factory training and Dunlker training occure during the flight training phase. After then you get the "PD checkout" where you take everything you should have learned and apply it in a check flight with ground oral over the course of 2 or more days and eventually get an increase in your salary.

I've heard there are some that will hire you as a "civilian", but the majority I've heard of require you to be a sworn officer. At least that's what I've heard and read the most.
